Sanguisorba obtusa or Japanese Burnet is one of the most ornamental Burnets with mounds of grey crimped foliage and tall branching stems with red bottle-brush flowers in summer. These plants are supplied as bare roots , meaning they do not come in a pot or container but the roots are bare and ready to plant, ideally in the dormant season.
