Silene caroliniana ssp. wherryi (Hot Pink, Celina) is native to North America where it is also known by its common name Wild Pinks or Catchfly. It has rich pink flowers, that look a bit like our own Wild Campion, the difference is the cushion habit of the foliage. It prefers a moist but well-drained soil in a light shade location.
