Solanum crispum Glasnevin is a twining climber with a long-lasting show of lilac-coloured flowers in late spring into late summer. The common name is Potato Vine because it is part of the same family though must not be eaten. It is hardy, and will cover a larger fence or wall with wiry branches that can be easily pruned. Supplied 80 centimetres tall, with a good root system in a 2 litre pot. Just dig a hole deep enough to put the entire root-ball in, remove the pot and place it in the hole with the main stem nice and straight then cover the root-ball with soil, firm down and water. You can but one, two or three plants with this order.
